Increased surgical accuracy; potential to reduce facility costs

3D multiplanar imaging in orthopaedic trauma, spine and ENT surgery provides the additional visual reassurance that surgical implants have been placed accurately and correctly, where conventional 2D imaging can still leave doubt. Such is the quality of the imaging with the Ziehm Vision RFD 3D that post-operative CT scanning and check X-rays are not necessary so freeing up these valuable resources for others, as well as leaving the patient to recover with less disturbance. The potential to save health service costs by reducing the number of corrective procedures, provide greater availability of medical resources and have better outcomes for patients is not in doubt.

Maintaining the same form factory and compact size of other Ziehm C-arms, and able to perform all other 2D intraoperative fluoroscopic imaging as well as 3D image with flat panel detector quality, make the Ziehm RFD 3D not only a truly remarkable and versatile surgical tool but also have the potential to be a cost saving ally.
Large area flat panel; C-arm motorised in all 4 axes

Ziehm’s 31 x 31 cm CMOS or 30x30 cm Amorphous Silicon Flat Panel Detector (FPD) enables the Ziehm Vision RFD 3D to image larger body regions in both 3D as well as 2D, such as all 7 cervical vertebrae for example. The highly versatile Ziehm Vision RFD 3D can also perform vascular and interventional procedures with image quality similar to fixed angiographic systems thanks to it's powerful 25 kW X-ray generator and advanced Ziehm imaging algorithms. The 3k x 3k image matrix (CMOS) enhances the traditional 1k x 1k with an image intensifier and provides approximately 50% more coverage of anatomy, as well as higher resolution imaging and lower radiation dose capability, when compared with a typical 31 cm image intensifier.

The flat panel detector’s greater dynamic range enables the user to view more than 65,500 shades of grey in the image compared to a little over 4,000 with an image intensifier. This allows a much greater range of tissue information to be visualised on the same image. A raft of dose reduction tools, including Ziehm's paediatric mode and optional removable grid, makes the Ziehm Vision RFD 3D especially child-friendly where minimum dose and outstanding image detail are priority considerations..

Rotating Anode X-ray Tube. Active Liquid Cooling. The POWER to take on anything

Equipped with a rotating anode X-ray tube and, crucially for long and complex procedures, Ziehm's unique active liquid cooling, the Ziehm Vision RFD 3D is equipped with a 25 kW X-ray generator, providing you with the confidence to take on the most challenging procedures with all the power you need but without overheating concerns.
Ziehm Vision RFD 3D; best for...

The Ziehm Vision RFD 3D can take on anything it encounters with consummate ease. Having a 30 x 30 cm imaging area and 25 kW liquid-cooled X-ray generator, the Ziehm Vision RFD 3D would be the ultimate solution for, but not limited to, the following applications:

· Spinal Surgery Procedures (2D & 3D)
· Pelvic Surgery Procedures (2D & 3D)
· Orthopaedic procedures including trauma surgery (2D & 3D)
· ENT procedures including cochlear implant (2D & 3D)
· Paediatric procedures (2D & 3D)

Cine record and replay ('loop') is included as standard and Ziehm's advanced and workflow-optimised 'SmartVascular' software package can also be specified to make the Ziehm Vision RFD 3D both a 3D skeletal imaging sensation as well as a mobile hybrid theatre imaging powerhouse requiring no costly room preparation works or potential lamina flow alterations in the operating room..

A Ziehm Mobile C-arm Grows with Your Needs

With a Ziehm mobile C-arm, system expandability is always available to you simply by adding either a software or hardware option. Ziehm are the first mobile C-arm company to bring wireless monitors (1) to the operating theatre environment. Providing the convenience of additional imaging displays that can be ceiling- or wall-mounted, the high speed transmission gives real time replication of the images displayed on the Ziehm Mobile C-arm. The ceiling monitor support (2) is available as an option with any Ziehm mobile C-arm. Amongst the many software options that can be specified, Ziehm 'Z-Conference' (3) enables the live image to be streamed to a remote location such as a colleague's office or a lecture theatre, complete with bi-directional audio - useful for second opinion, advice in a complex case or educational commentary.

Network Connectivity

Ziehm C-arms can be specified with all the necessary tools to ensure that they are the most connected mobile C-arms available. Connectivity options include:
· DICOM 3.0 conformance·
HIS/RIS/PACS connectivity (cabled)
· HIS/RIS/PACS connectivity (wireless)
· DAP meter dose data to RIS/PACS
· Dose Server connectivity
· Remote intraoperative audiovisual consultation / presentation in real time (''Z-Conference'')
Sterility, Hygiene and Infection Control

Most disinfectant wipes can be used on Ziehm mobile C-arms and each unit is supplied with a starter pack of bespoke Ziehm sterile covers that are tailored to each model and cover the flat panel detector assembly, the X-ray generator assembly, the C-arm assembly and the foot-switch. Manufactured from a clear material, laser targeting devices are still effective and viewable. The covers maintain sterility and reduce the possibility of contamination of the mobile C-arm thereby aiding infection control and reducing the cleaning burden. Individual covers are also available for the flat panel detector and for the optional remote Vision Centre and Position Control Centre. Additional packs of cover sets are readily available to order when required. We would be pleased to discuss your bulk purchase requirements.
First Class Service: Physical and Remote

As well as first class Xograph service support being available to our mobile C-arm users, Ziehm Imaging also now offer a secure remote service option* direct to you mobile C-arm allowing system log file interrogation, software updates and more. This in turn allows system issue diagnosis in certain cases and this information can be passed to an Xograph field service technician who will arrive on site with the appropriate recommended replacement parts where applicable.*Subject to local IT access policies.
Fit for the Future

As well as a number of valuable hardware add-ons the Ziehm Vision RFD 3D’s Vision Centre touchscreen user-interface has an open, modular software architecture ensuring maximum versatility. This interface can be easily upgraded and expanded with additional software modules without the need for hardware changes. The USB port not only allows export in a number of image formats including DICOM, but also allows fast update and upgrade. Latest Ziehm integrated secure and professional cyber-security satisfies the demands of the most vigilant IT departments.
