Ziehm’s sparkling new CMOS Flat Panel Detector (FPD) takes centre stage in the design of the all-new Ziehm Vision RFD. The 3k x 3k image matrix triples the benchmark of 1k x 1k for mobile C-arms and the 31 x 31 cm imaging area provides square images with >50% more coverage of anatomy when compared with a typical 31 cm image intensifier.
The auto-calibrating CMOS detector’s 100 µm pixel pitch enables approximately double the image quality with a similar dose compared to an image intensifier or similar image quality with approximately half the radiation dose. This provides the versatility to adapt instantly to the procedural demands and patient consideration, and makes the Ziehm Vision RFD especially child-friendly where minimum dose and ultimate image detail in small anatomy are priority considerations.
The CMOS flat panel detector’s greater dynamic range enables the user to view more than 65,500 shades of grey in the image compared to a little over 4,000 with an image intensifier. This allows a much greater range of tissue information to be visualised on the same image.
